In " scanning and detection" we distinguish between
person scanning and scanning of goods, luggage and
containers. Respective security solutions, ranging from
trace detection, x-ray, metal and explosive detection up
to the detection of nuclear, chemical and biological
material are mostly applied in airports, ports, other
areas of mass transportation as well as critical
infrastructure and high-security areas.
The main purpose of the scanning and detection solutions
is to detect e.g. weapons, explosives, drugs, means of
mass destruction and other critical materials or
objects, preventing the transport or use of illegal
material which can be used for terrorists attacks and
other forms of crime. Depending upon on the security and
process requirements of our customers we also cooperate
with other Siemens groups or specialized partners all
over the world. Our offering is ranging from the
integration of systems and technological solutions up to
the provision of professional dedicated services.
