Optimization of Pipeline Operation Using Integrated Information Management
R. Hensel and R. Oelhaf
2004-06-16
Pipelines are the only way to transport oil, natural gas and other important
liquid or gaseous raw materials quickly, safely and efficiently. However, the
pipelines and their supply networks need to be permanently and automatically
monitored in order to ensure safe production, environment and quality standards.
Management information systems enable the acquired data to be used as the basis
for company and investment decisions and for optimization of business
management.
