SIROLLCIS Fara Oiler Systems

SIROLLCIS Fara Oiler Systems for automated electrostatic oiling:
The SIROLLCIS Fara Oiler Systems, provided by Siemens VAI, offers the lowest possible capital cost consistent with achieving the high quality requirements of today‘s market place.
Conventional methods of oil handling are ineffective and usually cause problems for coil processors. Excess oil, caused by inaccurate over oiling, results in disposal problems and can also interfere with coil handling. For coil processors, the Fara Oiler System revolutionises the oiling process by offering an efficient automated method for the coating of aluminium or steel.
The SIROLLCIS Fara Oiler electrostatic oiling system applies oil lubrication accurately and effectively improving the product quality, providing rust protection and minimising oil wastage.

Construction:

The base of the oiler is formed into an oil tank of 400 litres capacity and the internal base of the oiler slopes to a drain area, where the oil is passed through a fine mesh before being returned to the oil tank. The tank is equipped with immersion heaters, located at the drive end. The heated oil is drawn from the tank by a recirculation pump and passed through a double pressure filter, to ensure that the oil is completely clean prior to entry into the metering pump.
Another advantage of the SIROLLCIS Fara Oiler system is that the heated oil tank within the spray enclosure makes other heating unnecessary in environments. At the drive end of the oiler an extended side wall provides a surface, upon which are mounted, at low level, the double filter, metering and recirculation pumps above a drip tray. At a higher level, on the same surface, the high voltage power supply is mounted in its own IP 54 enclosure and adjacent are the pneumatic controls. Access into the oiler, for maintenance and removal of the applicators, is through a conventional door at the drive end, which is fitted with a large viewing window.

Benefits:

  • High efficiency

  • Improved coating

  • Reduces wastage

  • Low installation cost

  • Improves Coil Handling

  • Improved Product quality

  • Easy to operate and maintain

  • Minimal production downtime for installation

Reliability:

Proven reliability has been achieved as a result of the sturdy construction and simple mechanical design for many years.

Operating Principle:

To avoid the need for extensive cross-site cabling, the electrical control enclosure has been mounted on the operator end of the oiling enclosure and incorporates the Siemens operator control/display panel. This end of the oiler does not have an access door, but is provided with a viewing window. The control system is based on a Siemens PLC which is entirely stand alone. Hard wired signals are required for inter-linking with line start/stop/speed signals or a customised profibus link-up can be provided as an optional extra.
