Siemens-VAI supplies a wide variety of modern lines for the processing of rolled strip. These comprise push -pull and continuous pickling lines to remove scale from hot rolled steel before cold rolling and from annealed cold rolled steel, continuous annealing lines for achieving particular material properties as well as metallic and non-metallic coating lines for corrosion protection and the achievement of good surface appearance. Siemens-VAI also supplies a comprehensive selection of strip finishing lines.

Pickling Technology for strip includes Push-Pull Pickling and Continuous Lines, either as stand alone or coupled to a tandem cold mill. Our comprehensive modernization packages include scale breakers as well as full acid management in the process section.

 

Continuous Annealing Lines for both carbon and stainless steel grades represent a profitable alternative to batch annealing. Featuring a flexible multi-zone furnace design, a broad range of steel grades and dimensions can be produced at very high process speed.

 

Cleaning lines are designed so as to reach the best strip cleanliness required for the downstream process with various technologies: immersion, spray, brushes, electrolytic, horizontal or vertical.

 

Hot Dip Galvanizing Lines for both hot and cold rolled strip guarantee first-class product quality, for construction, appliance and automotive applications. Our lines deliver the lowest operational costs for various coatings including galvanized, galvanneal, zinc-aluminium, and aluminium.

 

Electrolytic & Organic Coating Lines are also supplied by Siemens VAI for the production of highest quality value-added strip.

 

Finishing lines such as Inspection lines and Recoiling lines include key equipment to retain the high strip quality produced upstream.

 

Siemens VAI is also in a unique position to supply full range of Mechatronic Packages comprising essential process equipment such as mash lap, flash butt and laser welders, zinc air knives, skin pass mills, shape measurement and control systems, tension levellers, scale breakers, side trimmers, roll coaters and surface inspection systems.
