In addition to imparting an aesthetically pleasing and
decorative appearance to the strip, organic coatings must
also have good forming properties and improve corrosion
resistance, especially for outside applications. The coating
quality is the decisive factor for penetrating new markets
such as the profitable automotive and household appliance
industries.
Siemens VAI organic coating lines stand for reliable
operation, high throughput rates and top product quality.
The highest degree of flexibility is assured for different
steel strip grades, various coating compositions and colors
as well as strip dimensions for a wide range of product
applications.
Siemens VAI organic coating lines are capable of imparting
the following coating:
- Prime and second organic layers with solution application as Polyesters, Epoxy, Polyurethane, PVDF, Acrylic, Plastisol
- Coating for topside and backside
Siemens VAI offer a full range of options for continuous organic coating lines and we have our own in-house design for many of the critical process components. Key features include:
- Mashed lap and laser Welders
- Strip cleaning Sections (for treating cold rolled as well as metal coated strip)
- Chemical roll coater
- Catenary or flotation oven types
- Prime and finish roll coaters with latest state of the technology including two or three rolls with hydraulic roll position control
