Complete electrical and automation solution
Siemens supplied a complete turnkey electrical solution for the Moma Titanium Minerals Mine Project in Mozambique. We have been awarded an order from the Multiplex/Bateman Joint Venture (MBJV) to supply a complete electrical solution for Kenmare Resources’ Moma Titanium Minerals Mine Project in Mozambique. The order includes the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the entire electrical solution for the mine, as well as a 170-km 110-kV overland transmission line. Siemens delivered a complete engineered electrical solution for the entire mine including on-site power generation, power distribution, automation and communication, drive systems and associated electrical equipment.
Development in Lumwana
Siemens has received orders from Equinox Copper Ventures Ltd., Canada, for the supply of electrical equipment and systems for open-cast mining trucks, mills and “in-pit” reticulation required for the development of the new Lumwana copper mine in Zambia.
