SIPAPERCIS Reject Power
Intelligent waste paper recovery

SIPAPERCIS Reject Power opens the possibility for the paper industry to address the two major problems of increased energy and disposal costs, through the intelligent use of the waste.

SIPAPER Reject Power concept
The challenge
As a result of the escalating energy costs in pulp & paper production, the pulp & paper industry is continuously seeking ways to combat these escalating costs. Furthermore, the new dumping legislation regarding pulp & paper waste is becoming tougher, thereby forcing more companies into recycling and finding alternate solutions other than dumping or land-filling.

Our solution
SIPAPERCIS Reject Power provides the alternative which addresses both of these requirements, the saving of energy and the reduction of disposal costs. The resulting rejects of the paper production, including auxiliary products (sewage sludge, wood waste, etc.), have different calorific values. The appropriate quantities and dry content, are prepared to form a fuel mix and then burnt in the furnace. The steam generated during reject incineration, can be used either directly as supplement to the steam requirement resulting from the paper production, or converted into electricity using a steam turbine.

This allows the waste materials to be used for energy production and this drastically reduces the disposal costs.

Good reasons for SIPAPERCIS Reject Power
  • Power generation & steam generation (the simultaneous production of electricity and heat for the factory operation or for steam production)
  • Drastic reduction of the disposal costs
  • Reduction of the use of fossil fuels through the burning of biological wastes
  • Reduction of greenhouse gases
