The PI - Plant Information System written by OSI Software Inc. CA, USA is a universal plant information system for the archiving, display and evaluation of process and production data.
PM-OPEN PI permits a flexible and fast configured coupling of WinCC/automation systems to the PI system. PM-OPEN PI can run both within the WinCC environment (e.g. on a WinCC server) and as a stand-alone system (process gateway) for the direct coupling of the automation systems to PI. The range of capabilities available for the connection to automation systems (also those of other manufacturers) ensures that PM-OPEN PI can provide a consistent information processing that exceeds plant limits.
Depending on the number of tags to be processed, PM-OPEN PI is offered in the "Compact", "Standard" and "Professional" versions. It can be used without any difficulties in redundant WinCC configurations.
