Italimpianti has been a supplier of plant equipment since its inception in 1957 under the name Cosider, which was developed to upgrade the Italian iron and steel industry. As a result of its excellent work in Italy, the company expanded to become a leading integrated supplier of technology and turnkey industrial plants to its customers worldwide. Italimpianti became a part of the Techint Group as a result of the privatization of companies in Europe in 1996.

Techint designs and installs a wide variety of furnaces for ferrous and non ferrous metals, glass, petroleum coke, carbon products, direct reduced iron, as well as metal reclamation and waste oxide recycling. An extremely broad range of equipment, yet we have teams of experts committed to each of these product areas, some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry.

Our global network of over 200 engineers worldwide are solely dedicated to furnace engineering. We also own and operate two research and development facilities, helping to keep us on the forefront of new furnace technology.
